"Sickness and disease are the work of the devil. The Bible makes this clear in John 10:10 NKJV when Jesus said, 'The thief [devil] does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.'

Jesus Came to earth so that He might destroy the devil's evil works that try to attach themselves to our lives. First John 3:8 NKJV says, The devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

Maybe you're faced with a physical problem in your back or hips. Or maybe you have failing eyesight. You may have a problem with your hearing or some other problem, such as stuttering. Maybe your knees are bothering you. You may have an asthma condition and have trouble breathing. Whatever it is, Jesus came to destroy satan's evil works. So right now let's set our faith in agreement with God's Word and believe him for the miracle you need as I pray:

In the authority of the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I come into agreement with you against sickness, against fear, against doubt, against whatever it is that is trying to attach itself to your life. Jesus was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil. You belong to God! So I say, satan, take your hands off God's property. I come against your evil works and command them, in the Name of Jesus, to stop. Amen."

ON DOCTRINE NOTE:
Richard Roberts adopts a theology stating that Satan was the originator of disease and that God does not use disease and has never made anybody sick. This is the same teaching presented by his father, Oral Roberts—(See: Oral Roberts - God Is Against Sickness). In addition, he adopts the belief that physical healing of believers is guaranteed by the atonement.

Richard Roberts' use of John 10:10 is a classic case of presenting an idea that has been created outside of the Scripture and then a search is commenced in order to find a verse in the Bible that proves the claim; an action that is called "proof texting." In order to present John 10:10 as the foundation for his claim, Richard Roberts must lift the verse out of the context in which it is found and then surround it with his own preconceived context not supported in the Scripture. If a person actually reads the verses of which John 10:10 is a part, the reader will quickly see that the verse doesn't have any resemblance to what Richard Roberts claims:
"So Jesus said to them again, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door; if anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. I am he Good Shepherd; the Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. he who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because his is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep. I am the good Shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep," John 10:7-15 (NAS), cf. John 1:1-9, 16- 18.
John 10:10 is not referring to physical healing in any manner, but is explaining the work of Jesus Christ by which He provides salvation to all believers. The contrast is between the Good Shepherd, who is Jesus Christ, and the hireling shepherds, who are false teachers and only do their job for money. The false shepherds do not protect the sheep but run away, allowing the sheep scatter so they are easy prey for the wolf, who is Satan, to come and steal their souls.

Richard Roberts treats 1 John 3:8 in the same manner as he does John 10:10, by removing the verse from its actual context in the Scripture and placing it within his own contrived context. The verse says nothing about the works of the devil being diseases, "that try to attach themselves to our lives." The context of the verse states exactly the proper definition of the works of the devil"
"Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. and you know that he was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen him nor known Him. Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. he who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God," 1 John 2:4-9 (NKJV).
The works of the devil are lawlessness which is sin. Richard Roberts attempts to redefine those works to mean disease of which 1 John 3 makes no statement whatsoever.

Richard Roberts concludes his article with two references to setting ". . . our faith in agreement with God's Word," and that ". . . I come into agreement with you against sickness, against fear, against doubt, against whatever it is that is trying to attach itself to your life." Without actually explaining the source of those concepts, he presents his teaching about Matthew 18:19, which is known as the "Prayer of Agreement" doctrine, which erroneously states that if two or more believers agree with each other regarding the desire of one of the believers, that God must grant the request that is made through faith in prayer. See: Prayer of Agreement.

Richard Roberts depends on the fact that most of his readers will not bother to read the Scriptures that he quotes, and so they accept his erroneous claims as fact, when they are actually false.
