The Cultic Challenge Thursday, January 29 Why do you have John MacArthur listed as "correct doctrine" when he teaches serious false doctrine (e.g. see www.atruechurch.info/macarthur.html)? Darwin Fish — On Doctrine Reply Hello Darwin—, Welcome to On Doctrine Thank you for your visit. I am already aware of the information that you present, having visited your website sometime ago. Since I have known John MacArthur, probably since before you were born, I know your claim that he preaches a psychological gospel and is a false teacher, is an absurdity and a fabrication of your own making. Unfortunately, for any person who chooses to follow your particular teachings, the belief that you are the only true standard and criteria through which the Bible can be interpreted and presented, as far as you know, is a self-imposed deception. You also teach doctrines that deceive others who accept you as a true minister of the gospel, which you are not. I have personally observed the immaturity demonstrated by you and your adherents when you have engaged in picketing (activities) at Grace Community Church, and that immaturity is also reflected in the doctrines that you have created from you own mind. You have willfully chosen to remove yourself from biblical authority and church discipline, engaging in lawless behavior in relation to the Scripture, because you have established yourself as a law unto yourself, which you believe justifies every desire that results in an action or belief by yourself. Even when shown to be wrong, you are unteachable by your own choice. Sadly, you are in serious and continuing error, also by your own choice, and I have great fear for your soul. The True Church is the one that Jesus Christ is building and He will build it perfectly according to His plan, with or without you, and what is true is determined by the Word as the revelation of God, and not by the self-proclaimed truth of Darwin Fish. Since virtually no one that you know or has lived since the apostles, meets the intellectual, doctrinal and spiritual standards that you claim for yourself, it must be lonely at the top. But I am sure that you can keep yourself company by adopting the old saying, "When I speak to myself, I perceive the one speaking to be an intelligent man." Sincerely, Gary A. What do I believe that will damn my (and others) soul? On Doctrine Reply Hello Darwin—, The attempt to place the responsibility on me for not convincing you of the truth that you already know, will not work. I do not bear the guilt in relation to your beliefs; you do. I know how the spin works; attempting to place the blame on others by claiming they have not thoroughly convinced you of the truth of their position, which you reject before the teaching is even presented. You are not the first to adopt that approach, it is not a unique creation to you and you will not be the last to use it. You have been given instruction on virtually every false and aberrant doctrine that you teach, so you know very well what is the biblical position. The question is not that you do not know the truth or have never had the truth explained to you, but that you deliberately reject the truth that you already know. If I would present an unassailable argument to you on every point of dissent, it would be irrelevant to you. You have set yourself in a place of authority by which you reject any argument presented to you even before it is presented, because you adopt the position that any person who does not agree 100% with you on every point of doctrine or religious belief, whether it be the most important or the most minute, are heretics or false teachers and going to hell. You have established yourself as the criterion of truth, your self-presumed authority rejecting the beliefs of anyone who is not taught by you or believes as you claim. As you know, that is why I stated that you are unteachable. So, by your own definition, I am a heretic, false teacher and going to hell, so you would reject any argument that I might present, no matter how cogent. The truth of the Scripture is lost on you, because you know the truth and reject the truth as a result of your continuing rebellion. From whatever you are trying to escape, by running from that which reveals and cuts to the heart of the deep issues in your life, you will not be allowed to leave it behind. Nothing more is to be said, because the truth of Scripture does not need a defense against you, and you do not require any more truth to be explained to you in order to be accountable for your error. That's a lie. But that's fine. Go ahead and be disobedient to 2 Timothy 2:24-26; 1 peter 3:15, and Jude 3, and continue to follow the broad way (Matthew 7:13-14). You will surely be destroyed forever (Isaiah 50:11), not only for your lack of love, but for everything else you've ever done (Revelation 20:15f; 21:8). The forgiveness of God is not upon you. This is another lie you have bought (www.atruechurch.info/unity.html). But, so be it. And who is twisted here? I am looking forward to the day of judgment, although, I would rather God have mercy on you and save you from the deceit you are in rather than judge you and send you to eternal torment. Nevertheless, you've bee warned I'll see you, along with the rest of the world, on that day (1 Corinthians 6:2). In Christ, the real One, the One who does kill (1 Samuel 2:6), contrary to the false Christ of Phil Johnson. Darwin— ON DOCTRINE NOTE: Since On Doctrine did not mention Phil Johnson in the above communication, it is interesting that Darwin Fish would bring his name into the conversation, in the last sentence and the last two words. Apparently Darwin Fish is greatly troubled by Phil Johnson, so it is important that his comments and information about the true background and conduct of Darwin Fish be examined.
