JAMES WHITE 1963 - present James White is the Director of Alpha and Omega Ministries which he co=founded with Michael Beliveau in 1983 while students at Grand Canyon College in Phoenix, Arizona. Graduating in 1985 from Grand Canyon College, he went to Fuller Theological Seminary's Arizona Campus and competed his M.A. in Theology. In 1995 he completed a Th.M. from Faraston Theological Seminary. In 1995 he was appointed Scholar In Residence in the College of Christian Studies and Grand Canyon University and became an adjunct professor with Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary's Arizona campus where he has lectured in Greek, Hebrew, Systematic Theology, and Christology. He has lectured in Theology and Church History at Grand Canyon. He is also Professor of Apologetics for Columbia Evangelical Seminary in Longview, Washington. He has written several books and has engaged in numerous debates with Mormon apologists, Catholics and others on various issues, including the King James Only issue. He is an elder in the Phoenix Reformed Baptist Church.

We cannot possibly accept any excuses for this kind of deceptive writing--poor scholarship is one thing, but this goes far beyond simply poor scholarship. This article shows definite, pre-meditated deception. It's purpose is to misrepresent Ignatius' beliefs, and in so doing confirm millions of Jehovah's Witnesses world-wide in their beliefs." "The Nature Of God - The Triunity Of God" "The doctrine of the Trinity is based on three Biblical truths that together form its foundation: 1. There is only one God (monotheism); 2. There are three Persons - the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is in direct contradiction of modalism, Sabellianism, or the "Jesus Only" teachings that deny the separate personhood of Father, Son and Spirit; 3. There is full equality of the Persons. This is in direct contradiction of Arianism and all systems that would deny the full Deity and equality of the Son and the Spirit. Each of these truths is part of God's revelation of Himself, and no system can claim to be based on the Bible unless these truths are taken into account. The denial of any one of these Biblical teachings leads directly to heresy and false doctrine - denial of monotheism leads to polytheism (such as in Mormonism); denial of the three Persons leads into modalism (such as the United Pentecostal movement); and denial of the equality of the Persons leads to subordination-ism (Jehovah's Witnesses, the Way International, etc.)." "The Pre-existence Of Christ" In this divine person all things "hold together"or consist. This divine person is said to be "before ta panta - all things." There is no clearer passage in the Bible concerning the fact that Jesus Christ, the eternal Word, created all things. There is no room here for the gnostic pleroma in which Christ is but a part - no, here Christ is seen as the Creator Himself who holds the universe together by his own power. The pre-existent Christ shines brightly in Paul's mind, and forms the basis for his teaching of the relationship between Christ and the Church." "The Trinity, The Definition Of Chalcedon, And Oneness Theology" "The doctrine of the Trinity requires a balanced view of Scripture. That is, since the doctrine itself is derived from more than one stream of evidence, it requires that all the evidence be weighed and given authority. If any of the foundational pillars of the doctrine (monotheism, the deity of Christ, the person of the Holy Spirit, etc.) be ignored or even rejected, the resulting doctrinal system will differ markedly from the orthodox position, and will lose its claim to be called "biblical." "Was Anyone Saved At The Cross" - LIMITED ATONEMENT "I was faced with a decision. If I maintained a "universal" atonement, that is, if I said that Christ died substitutionarily in the place of every single man and woman in all the world, then I was forced to either say that 1) everyone will be saved, or 2) the death of Christ is insufficient to save without additional works. I knew that I was not willing to believe that Christ's death could not save outside of human actions. So I had to understand that Christ's death was made in behalf of God's elect, and that it does accomplish its intention, it does save those for whom it is made."
