You and I are living in one of the most crucial, exciting, challenging moments in the eternal destiny God has for the Church.

There is an unprecedented GLOBAL CALL TO PRAYER by the Spirit of God. Multiplied millions of people of all nationalities, every age group, and from all denominations are responding and uniting together in prayer.

God showed me at the beginning of 1995 that He was taking us to a strategic level of warfare prayer. He gave us this revelation:

God is going to bring us into a new dimension of authority in our prayers where our very words, spoken with authority, invested in the promises of God, will enable us to confront every stronghold of the enemy!

God revealed to me that the Decade of the Holy Spirit is closing. He showed me that for three years there will be a new manifestation of true intercession of God's people rises to heaven, God will begin to release the flood gates of heaven.

God is bringing His intercessors to the frontlines of evangelism!

He has strategically placed intercessors in key positions worldwide, where He will use them to effect changes, in the Spirit, that will result in a worldwide harvest of souls!

I am convinced that it will take a mighty army of intercessors, prayer ministries, prayer cell groups, worldwide, all uniting together to see the fulfillment of the work God has given us to do, and to bring in the final great end time harvest of souls.

God has given me a great love for Europe. For more than 43 years, I have ministered throughout England and Europe. Now, as we prepare to enter the new millennium, God has poured a new vision for Europe into my soul. Europe is at the most crucial point in its history. A great spiritual darkness has descended and is spreading across the continent like a thick cloud. But in the midst of this darkness, God has shown me that this is the hour for the Church to unite as a mighty force to launch the greatest prayer assault in the history of the Church against the satanic forces now working to establish dominion and control over Europe.

God has directed me to return to London to start what I believe will be the most strategic, united prayer offensive the continent has ever known. We will conduct the first Morris Cerullo World Evangelism European Spiritual Warfare Prayer Conference, May 27-31, 1999 in London at Earl's Court.

From all over Europe and around the world, I am asking the mightiest spiritual warriors and Christian leaders to join me in leading this great prayer offensive. Not only will these anointed Christian leaders share powerful truths from the Word, we will have intensive prayer sessions with thousands of Christians uniting in prayer for Europe. ON DOCTRINE COMMENTARY

It is amazing how many ministers are claiming revelations from God that just happen to coincide with their plans for crusades and projects. Doesn't it seem unusual that all of these ministers receive revelations telling them to begin projects that must be paid for by other people, and those people are placed on a guilt trip if they do not contribute to the latest cause to save the world for God? If all of these "revelations" that have been claimed in the last 10 years were collected into one place and organized, what a monstrous aberration of the gospel would be revealed. Anytime a doctrine is embraced that allows open season for new revelations, then there will be very great problems. By what standard is a revelation to be judged? How is it to be determined that a person received a real revelation or just lied to get attention or to achieve a certain goal or obtain money for a project or personal gain? When a person accepts the doctrine of continuing revelation, they cannot reject that what any person says is a revelation, because the definition of revelation is the revealing or announcing that which was not previously known by anyone. In that instance, even heresy can and does pass as revelation.

The Bible says that direct revelation from God is a closed issue. There is no more revelation outside of the Bible and the person of Jesus Christ. Any person who claims to have received a revelation from God is either:
1. Self deceived.
2. A false prophet.

Morris Cerullo's "revelation" message is designed to entice and catch the unsuspecting reader off guard with catchy buzz words and phrases which, in reality, have no meaning or spiritual significance:
  1. "...strategic level of warfare prayer."
    Did Jesus teach about warfare prayer? Where is this taught in the Bible? What is warfare prayer?

  2. God is going to bring us into a new dimension of authority in our prayers where our very words, spoken with authority, invested in the promises of God, will enable us to confront every stronghold of the enemy!
    If one understands the false teaching of Kenneth Copeland and Kenneth Hagin, then this statement points directly to the false teaching of Morris Cerullo. He has borrowed the teaching of the Word of Faith teachers and applied it to his attack on Satan with prayer. In the above statement he embraces the doctrine of the power of words. Simply speaking the right words causes the prayer to come to pass. This Word of Faith teaching states that God is bound to honor what a person speaks or says, when the correct words are used with an attitude of faith. This is heretical teaching, because it states that God is bound to honor the words that man speaks rather than man deferring to the will, authority and plans of God. Sorry, but just because the words are spoken and a person has faith that they will be confirmed, does not mean that they are in accord with the mind and plan of God, or that God has any obligation to honor the words spoken. God is sovereign. God does that which pleases Him, when He pleases to do it. Man has no claim on God and God has no obligation to honor any claim that is proposed, whether it is a "warfare prayer" or some other type.

  3. "...Decade of the Holy Spirit..."
    There have been approximately 197 decades since the Holy Spirit was given by Jesus Christ. Why was the decade of 1990 to 2000 dedicated to Him and no other decades? Why did God fail to notify the rest of the Christian church body about that decade? In what way was that time period the "Decade of the Holy Spirit"?

  4. "...God will begin to release the flood gates of heaven."
    Is this a flood of water, a cursing, a blessing, judgment, suffering, revelations, prosperity, salvation? Just because the reader has heard the term "the flood gates of heaven" before, it should not be assumed that the reader's understanding of the term is what is meant here. In fact, Morris Cerullo has deliberately failed to define the term so that the reader is more inclined to provide their own definition through an assumption. The term is pointed in the direction of a positive element, with the reader providing the meaning. However, the reader should not define the term on the reader's own terms, because there is no groundwork for a definition provided. Instead, the reader should be very cautious of terminology with no meaning assigned, especially when it is being used in order to convince the reader of the worthiness of a project.

  5. "...new manifestation of true intercession of God's people..."
    Presumes that other manifestations or intercessions were not "true"?

  6. "God is bringing His intercessors to the frontlines of evangelism!"
    What are the frontlines? The martyrs in Russia, China, Peru and other countries of the world would claim that they are on the front line. Who determines the 'frontlines', Morris Cerullo?

  7. "He has strategically placed intercessors in key positions worldwide..."
    Who are these people, what is their job and how do they do it? What key positions - in government, business, education, religion?

  8. "...He will use them to effect changes, in the spirit..."
    What spirit - the spirit of the world, spirit of man, the spirit of anti-Christ, the spirit of rebellion, Spirit of God, Spirit of Christ, Holy Spirit? If God is placing these people, what changes can they effect if God already is in the process of accomplishing the task?

  9. "...satanic forces now working to establish dominion and control over Europe."
    If one does not already know that the forces of Satan already control this entire earth, then the Bible has been written in vain. Europe long ago revoked its reformation spiritual heritage and has been spiritually dead for a hundred years. If Satan is working to "establish" dominion over Europe, then he has become senile, because he accomplished that task long ago. There is nothing new here.
The bottom line is that there is no "revelation" in what is claimed in these statements. This was a promotional piece to gain support for a project using manipulative words in order to convince people that they are part of a great world shaking work of God which has been revealed only to Morris Cerullo and those who support him. Unfortunately the rest of the Christian world will be left out because they have never heard of Morris Cerullo or don't know about his work, because God did not reveal this great undertaking to anyone else. One must use a measure of discernment when reading information from personalities like Morris Cerullo. When what he says is analyzed, his statements are truly meaningless. Incidentally, when signing up to be a prayer warrior on his web site, it is imperative that a correct address be given, which places the person on the mailing list. Then Morris Cerullo can send a letter requesting an additional participation, above that of an intercessor. Perhaps a nice check to defray the expenses or to win back Europe for God would be appropriate. Remember, intercessors are only as good as the money that backs them up.

Note:
Morris Cerullo received his above "revelation" in 1995. Have the "flood gates of heaven" been released yet since it is now the year 2002 and they were scheduled sometime in 1998?

This entire "revelation" and promotion for the European crusade was still on the web site 22 months after the event. Apparently Morris Cerullo, still celebrating after his great victory over the satanic forces, did not have time to clean his web house. Many of the pages that were set up to give information on "warfare prayer" and the results of the project apparently were never even completed. Ah, well - maybe after the next project and "revelation"?
